How do Max deals work, and can a voucher be used on sale items?

Most of Max's savings come from offers displayed on its own site. For “Buy 1 Get 1”, put two items from that offer in your cart and the lower-priced one costs nothing; for “Buy 2 Get 1”, add three and you get the cheapest one free. Check that everything in the cart belongs to the same offer.

Gift vouchers from Max don't stack with offers. They can only be spent on full-price products that aren't part of any promotion.

If I send back part of a Max order, do I keep the voucher discount?

When an order that used a voucher is returned, in part or in full, Max voids the voucher and refunds what you sent back. If the voucher had already been redeemed, its value comes off your refund.

Offers worked out on the basket total follow the same logic: partial returns are allowed, but the discount tied to them is lost.

What does Max charge for delivery, and how fast does it arrive?

Orders under the free delivery threshold are charged a SAR 18 delivery fee. You'll see that threshold, along with any other charges, at checkout before confirming.

Order before 12 noon and Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam get delivery within 2 business days; elsewhere it's up to 4 business days. Remote governorates and areas can need a few more days.

To skip the delivery fee, use the free “Click & Collect” service. A text and email tell you it's ready for pickup; the branch keeps it for 14 days before it is returned to the warehouse, at which point you are refunded.

Can I pay cash on delivery at Max, and what's the fee?

Yes: select cash on delivery while ordering, then pay the courier in cash. Max does charge a service fee on every cash on delivery order, though (SAR 9 according to the help centre, sometimes SAR 18 on the site, so trust the checkout figure), and this comes in addition to any delivery fee.

That fee is only refunded when the entire order is returned; partial returns don't get it back. Shukran points also can't pay for shipping or for the cash on delivery charge.

Does Max offer installment payments?

Yes, with Tabby. A 25% share of the order total is paid at purchase, and the remainder is split into 3 equal monthly payments, by debit or credit card.

You'll only see Tabby at checkout once the cart reaches SAR 50, and “pay later” is capped at SAR 1,000. Installment plans have an upper limit as well, shown at checkout. Returning items means the unpaid installments are subtracted from your refund.

Tamara doesn't appear in the list of payment methods given by Max's help center, which covers Tabby, Shukran points, gift cards, PayPal, cash on delivery and cards.

How long do I have to return items to Max, and what's non-returnable?

Purchases can go back up to 14 days after delivery, in the original packaging, together with the invoice, every accessory and any promotional gift included. There's no exchange service at Max: for another size or colour, return the item and place a new order.

Returns can be made in three ways: at any of Max's Saudi branches, through an online request from your order history followed by a courier pickup, or by phoning customer service to schedule a collection.

  • Underwear and jewellery once the packaging is opened, unless faulty.
  • Perfumes, swimwear and personal care items.
  • Bedding, towels, bathroom items and baby products that have been unpacked.
  • Anything used or damaged through misuse.

How long does a Max refund take after I return something?

Card payments: your return takes 2–5 business days to reach them, checking the item and issuing the refund take 2 business days, and the bank may need another 7–14 business days. For mada, if the return only arrives and gets checked once more than 30 days have passed since you ordered, the refund is processed by hand and can take 14–28 days.

If you chose cash on delivery and sent the item back online, you'll get wallet credit or a return voucher instead of cash. For a cash refund, bring the item to a branch yourself, or ask customer service by phone for a bank transfer.
