Under the Arabic terms, you get 14 days after the invoice date to request a return or exchange of a defective or damaged item; the English version of that same page gives 7 days, so it's best to get in touch quickly. You aren't charged for shipping or for a bank transfer when the problem is a manufacturing fault, damage during delivery, or receiving the wrong product.

For a change of heart or a swap, drop the product at your nearest branch at no cost, or pay SAR 10 to ship it back; the terms set no specific window for this. Products must be returned in original condition, complete with every accessory and the instruction booklet. Medicines aren't banned from return across the board, so check with customer service beforehand whether yours qualifies. These items are excluded from both returns and exchanges:

• Anything that has to be refrigerated, like hormones and insulin.
• Anything that must stay at a steady temperature, like baby food and baby milk, as instructed by the Ministry of Health.
• Items dispensed through medical insurance.
• Scratched products, or products damaged through misuse or use on an unsuitable voltage.

To cancel, the terms say to contact the pharmacy first: call or WhatsApp 8002444445 (toll-free), email customercare@unitedpharmacy.sa, or use live chat in the store. Cancelling is possible while the order is neither shipped nor delivered; once it has shipped, a cancellation fee is charged, though the terms give no figure.

If a product proves unavailable after you've ordered, the pharmacy may cancel part or all of the order and will let you know promptly. It may also cancel automatically if 3 days pass after its first attempt to contact you about delivery without a reply from you to customer service.

With that automatic cancellation, electronic payments are refunded in full to the original payment method no later than 7 working days after. The terms say nothing about refund times for any other cancellation, or following a return, so ask customer service when you order.

Through the “Wasfaty customers” service, your prescription medicines come to your door and you don't have to visit the pharmacy. Place a request by phone or WhatsApp on 8002444445 or 0530949494, or open the app and pick “Wasfaty customers” in the main menu. The pharmacy team then reviews your prescription, dispenses the medicines, packs them and passes them to its delivery partners, who bring them to you.

While the service page promises free delivery anywhere in the Kingdom, the terms and conditions only waive the fee on Wasfaty and insurance orders above SAR 100, with free pickup from a branch, so check the fee before confirming. For insurance medicines, the FAQ requires the insurer's approval along with a valid insurance card and your national ID or iqama when refilling medicines for chronic conditions; prescription-only medicines also need the original prescription stamped by the hospital.

The app form asks for:

• Your full name, national ID number and mobile number.
• Your Wasfaty number, found on the dispensing notice; uploading a picture of the notice or prescription speeds things up.
• Your city plus district or a nearby landmark, or automatic location detection.
• A delivery time that works for you, on the same day or a later one.

Membership in Maksab costs nothing for residents of Saudi Arabia who hold a Saudi mobile number; membership switches on automatically as soon as you register your details in a branch or the online store. Every SAR you spend earns 1 point, which the policy values at 0.75 halala, while Gold and Diamond members receive extra or multiplied points. Each point expires a year after you earn it.

In a branch, give the pharmacist your mobile number and you'll be texted a secret code to redeem; online, on the website or app, select payment from your Maksab balance on the checkout page to cover the whole bill or part of it. Points may be worth a different amount on diapers, baby milk, offers and discounted items. Also note that Google Play's app description refers to the rewards program as “Nujoomi”, whereas “Maksab” is the name used in the site's policy.

Points aren't earned on:

• Wasfaty and insurance invoices.
• Specialty medicines chosen by the pharmacy, including GLP-1 drugs such as Saxenda, Mounjaro, Wegovy and Ozempic.
• Medicines combining GLP-1 and insulin.
